The Smyrna Public Library uses the Sagebrush Infocentre Catalog System. This system lets you search the library's collection and it also allows you to reserve and renew materials online. You can check the status of your account anytime by clicking on the "My Account" tab. This will provide a list of every item you have checked out, any items you have on reserve, and any fines you may owe.
There are many interesting features to the library catalog. One of them is that over a thousand internet sites are listed in the library catalog by subject. You'll recognize a site by the icon of the world with "www" written on it. Simply click on the icon to go to that site.

To reserve an item:
1. Use the search screen to find the item.
2. Highlight the item you want and hit enter. A new screen will open with the full record.
3. Click the "Place Hold" button.
4. Enter your last name and library card number.
Please note:
A. Library users are limited to reserving a maximum of five titles at one time.
B. Library staff do not pull books from the shelf for reserves. If a book is listed as in, you may want to check the shelves yourself.
C. Videotapes and DVDs cannot be reserved.
To renew an item:
1. Click on the "My Library Info" tab.
2. Type in your last name and library card number and hit enter.
3. Highlight the title you want to renew and hit enter.
Please note:
A. Materials that are overdue or on reserve cannot be renewed.
B. Videotapes and DVDs cannot be renewed.
C. Items cannot be renewed more than twice and then they must be returned to the library.
